By safetyman This product is not worth buying the chairs are not stable and the table is little. It looks cheap. I dont recomment any one buying this product at all By Babedoll70 Based on the only other review, I figured I couldn’t go wrong with this product. I purchased it for my daughter and 2 grand-daughters. After de-coding the instructions, we managed to assemble the table and 4 chairs. The table was, and is, very nice. Only 1 of the 4 chairs was as we expected. The other three were defective. 1 of the 3 had the assembly holes for the foot rest manufactured in the wrong place. It still went together, but the screws are visable on top of the brace. The other 2 chairs had one back leg shorter than the other. My first thought was possibly we made a mistake during assembly. We checked, and double checked. It only goes together one way.
When we contacted the distributer, it was extremely difficult to communicate, as the phone associate spoke broken, almost unintelligible English. The associate tried to convince us that the chairs were not properly assembled. After several phone calls, multiple videos, pictures, and emails, the associate conceded that the 3 chairs were properly assembled and defiantly defective. 2 (not 3) replacement chairs were promptly sent to us. 1 of these replacement chairs had the same “short back leg” defect as 2 of the others. We now have a beautiful, high quality table, 1 perfect chair, 2 wobbly chairs, and 1 chair with exposed screws in the front foot rest. My daughter has decided that it’s not worth it to pursue the matter further. We will try and fix the wobbly chairs, or throw them out and buy some locally. I hate to complain, but this set was rather expensive, with the very high shipping cost. This has been an unpleasant experience, to say the least. I will shop locally, next time.

Though it does take a little time and patience to put together, the table and chairs look amazing. I’ve received so many compliments on it, and find you can’t find anything like it in furniture stores for less than double the price. The wood is the darkest brown possible, and blends in nicely with my cherry cabinets, as well as my black furniture. The marble top looks nice, but it’s really the rest of the furniture that will wow.

When this table arrived, there was some damage visible on the underside of the tabletop. After putting the table together we saw there was a crack along one whole side of the top – bad enough that you could actually move it up and down. I had a glass top from a previous table, so we put that on top but I was very concerned about the stability of the tabletop. Knowing that I couldn’t box up the damnaged top and ship it back, I send an email detaling the damage, but didn’t expect any action on my complaint. To my great surprise, I received a reply quickly and was given a number to call to get another tabletop delivered to me at no cost. What a wonderful service. I have received the second tabletop and now can use my table without fear of part of it falling apart. Great service and really nice table!

I was a little nervous making such a purchase online, but I knew these looked like the style I wanted and I was unable to find anything like them locally. I’m so glad I made the purchase. They are all so nice. They are solid, sturdy pieces. I love the contrast between the black and oak. The table and chairs really look like high end pieces. It took my husband about an hour to put together the table and four chairs. Definately worth the price. Love this item! We were shopping for a round glass top table and decided 42 inches was the perfect size for us. Small enough for two people most days but large enough if two guests joined us for a meal. Many tables we liked were 48 inches in diameter which we decided was too large for everyday use so we purchased this table. The base is very sturdy and attractive and the glass top is what you would expect. The price was much lower than most other tables we were considering for basicaly the same look. By Walter Del Castillo these knives are not original Laguiole products nor they come from the region in France. They are copies made in Pakistan and the set I received were badly made. The wooden box was broken; the laguiole symbol came of one of the knives upon arrival and the handles and blades were not made on precision. They are an example of very poor craftsmanship. The seller should be honest about this product and where it is made. I hope they find a better supplier, one that takes pride on their work and that is actually located in France.

I’ve wanted a set of the Henckels Pro knives for years, and finally made the investment. This is one of the best sets (variety) I’ve seen, and the better price. Quality is outstanding, as you’d expect. All I’ll need to add for my needs will be their cleaver. Can’t go wrong with a quality set of knives, though I wish they’d offer a better quality sharpener (I don’t mean the steel that comes with the set-not everyone can be good with these).

By awmartian After, the Virginia earthquake, my well water tested at 792 units of coliform bacteria per 100 ml. I installed the Doulton Rio 2000 filter. The water tested at 0 units coliform. Unfortunately, the filter required cleaning very 5 to 8 days to restore water flow. Upstream of the Doulton filter, I had a 2 micron filter. The 2 micron filter did not clog but passed enough sediment, or maybe bacteria, to clog the Doulton filter rapidly. Obviously, it clogged because it was working but it was not a practical solution for whole house water cleaning. I considered putting more filters in parallel with the first, but 5 times nothing is still nothing, so I connected to municipal water which was available. The Doulton filter works, but it may not be practical for all circumstances.

Also looks like I may need a pressure regulator to keep the water under 70 PSI which was not mentioned in filter description. I did not receive installation directions. Hopefully this filter housing will not crack as I have read bad reviews on clear housing filters. I will update my review once it is installed and working for a while.

Gramann This is first a positive comment on the service from the supplier, “Decospace.” I had earlier found this filter at slightly lower cost but the other vendor failed to even address my questions. The Decospace vendor answered everything quickly, anticipated my questions and concerns, making sure I got the desired fitting sizes, and even got the filter set delivered in very short time.

With respect to the product itself, it is not yet installed. So I can’t legitimately comment just yet. However, the product seems very well made and durable. Unlike some other solutions from other vendors, this one came with a supplied filter wrench. I’ll fill in more when there are some results. By Vell Bruixot

I have a Vitamix that I bought in 1990 and thought that that was the greatest, but this Vitamix 5200 is a CADILLAC. I’m using this one even more than the other one – soups, ice cream/sorbet, smoothies galore. I used to use the old Vitamix 4000 to make bread dough and will have to try it with the new one. I would give up every kitchen item but not my Vitamixer. What an investment and customer service is great [and the warranty as well]. And I am getting healthier as well. “If there is one blender that you need to purchase, it is the Vitamix!!!!! I have been wanting to purchase one of these since I was about 10 years old after seeing a commercial for it. The cost seems steep, but it is well worth the price. Through the years, I have wasted money purchasing 3 different blenders that were mediocre at best. I happened to see the Vitamix advertised and decided to finally purchase this exceptional piece of equipment though a different seller, big box red letters. This blender is extremely versatile and will not disappoint. I have used it to grind whole wheat for bread, make soup, blend drinks, chop vegetables, make smoothies, sorbet, etc., etc. If you are wanting to eat healthier, this will help you do it because it is capable of transforming multiple different types of foods into delicious meals and desserts. If you are on the fence about purchasing this great American made product due to the price, it is worth every penny. Don’t make the mistake I made by waiting years to purchase this. If you want a great piece of machinery that will perform like no other blender you have used, this is the one. Every kitchen should have one of these!”
